The brief.

PPTL’s Tanga plant combines a 1.25 MWp solar array with 2.0 MWh of storage and a power stabilisation system that does something clever during outages: prioritised load shedding. Critical lines keep running at full speed while deferrable loads wait their turn.

The smart integration paid off fast. Production was up 40% by July 2024, with the plant riding through grid events that used to cost whole shifts.
